LANRE SOBO/ DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS

Lanre Sobo is the Director of Operations for LinkWorld Integrated Solutions. He is an IT specialist on hardware procurement, implementation, supplies, support and maintenance. He started his career in Information Technology over 13 years ago in London, United Kingdom where he qualified as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in 1998 and also holds various certifications with Microsoft and Cisco technologies. He served as technical consultant to XRT Inc, one of the key players of treasury software developers in the world. He had a brief stint at Sergeant Associate limited UK, an IT consultancy firm he founded before he relocated to United States of America to continue his career in Information Technology, in 2003 as Client Consultant Specialist to XRT Inc the North America Group which until recently in January 2007 was acquired by SunGard Inc. With his technological skills in banking communication, he has implemented and managed projects on Business Exchange (XBE Server & COMMS Manager) to several clients.

Mr. Sobo holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, West Africa and MBA-IT from the University of Dallas, Texas USA. He is happily married and resides in Arlington, Texas, USA with his wife and three children. 

KOLAWOLE LAWANI/TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Mr Lawani is a technologist, venture capitalist, business developer, and one of world's leading business strategists.

He was educated at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, where he was the first graduate of Electronics/Electrical Engineering to be conferred with a specialization in Communications Engineering.  He has over fourteen years of extensive experience of large-scale international project exposure.  He worked for several years with oil major Royal Dutch Shell where he was responsible for key commercial and technical aspects of major projects including the $4b Afam Gas-to-Power project, Clean Development Mechanism implementation, West Africa’s largest SAP technology project, and the redesign of Shell Nigeria’s international data network.

He was the first Vice President of Strategy, Planning & Research for Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc, a budding conglomerate which he assisted in purchasing controlling shares both in Nigeria’s premier Hotel, the Abuja Hilton, and also in Nigeria’s formerly state-owned Telecoms Monopoly – NITEL.

He left Transcorp shortly afterwards to focus on his consulting and business development efforts, including spending significant time on LinkWorld -related business.

Mr Lawani brings a unique breadth of experience cutting across Corporate and Business Unit Strategy, Commercial Negotiation, Energy, Information Technology, Project Management, Financial Analysis and Operations Research.
